Breaking News: Leinart Might Start
November 29th, 2009 | by Hunter Ansley |Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Kurt Warner woke up this morning with soreness in his neck. After learning this, the Arizona Cardinals have decided to proceed as if Matt Leinart will start at quarterback against the Tennessee Titans today, Sunday, November 29.
With Leinart starting, this sets up a rematch of the 2005 National NCAA Championship game between he and Vince Young.
The Cardinals are 5-0 on the road this season and are the last team in the NFL to visit Tennessee. The Cards are 5-0 on the road for the first time since 1948 when they were the Chicago Cardinals.
There is still a chance that Warner will play, but for now it looks like caution may prevail. Especially considering the rest of the division is composed of San Fran, Seattle, and St. Louis. Teams with a combined 8-22 record.
